Auction of Brimstone's gaming collection.
Late yesterday (Sunday 25th April) I received the following:
Hi there folks, we would just like to bring this to the attention of all those in the community that are willing to help having known, spoken to or been touched by the one many simply knew as 'Brimstone' master of the rumours!
As I'm sure many of you are aware, Jon sadly passed away just before Christmas, 2009. What many may be unaware of is that Jon sadly left his 1 year old son, Dominic, who because of this tragedy will never know the man we all loved, his father.
Jon, as many know, had a large hobby collection. A close friend of Jon's, known to the community as Harkon Greywolf, has volunteered to take command of, catalogue and sell in exchange of funds that will be donated to Jon's family to be put aside for his son's future!
I cannot stress enough that Harkon is making NO profit from this in the slightest and every penny will be given directly to the family.
Amongst the hobby supplies is all of Jon's hobby horde are items for various gaming systems, 40k, Fantasy, Hordes, BFG, Monsterapocalypse etc including Jon's Nidzilla army, Forge World components and other items from various companies. Books, codices, White Dwarfs and more are also included.
Now obviously these are not being sold as an individual lot, but split up and sold individually unless otherwise stated.
How can people get in on this? Well at current this is NOT being taken to EBay, but kept on the Space Wolf Community forum which can be found at http://www.swchq.co.uk/swcforum
The only way for people to access it is by signing up to the SWC forums (not a shameless plug!), and then visiting our 'bitz swap' section found in the top set of sub-forums.
How does it work? Well HG is running an auction style system. If there is an item of interest to you in the list, simply post down an item you wish to reserve, then PM HG your offer. if two people reserve the same item, the higher offer will win the item.
It is currently being ruled, so as to get as much into the fund as possible and so people don't think they can get away with buying an Imperial Titan for £1, no offers BELOW 50% of retail value is being accepted and 65% retail value for any Forge World kits.
Please also bare in mind to add P+P to your offer, as HG is but one man doing this with nothing in return so every little helps to get these items to you!
Shipping is worldwide, so please reflect your location in the P+P
If I haven?t made anything clear or you would like more details, please visit the SWC site and you will find additional details as well as a list of items in the relevant forum
For those that are interested i would also like to point out that SWC is an EXTREMELY friendly and understanding hobby community, we wish to keep it this way, so we're asking that if you wish to partake please bare in mind to keep arguments, clashes of opinion to a minimum and that there should be no flaming, swearing, abusing or insulting of ANY kind.
